Kathmandu : The bus park which was relocated to Khula Munch (Open Theatre) in Tundikhel from old bus park area is to remain closed for four days. The Khuila Munch will be shut for four days from today as the open theatre which has been in decrepit state of affairs due to torrential rain and huge flow of vehicles needs renovation, shared Metropolitan Traffic Police Division Chief and SSP Basanta Kumar Panta.
An arrangement has been made for the vehicles bound to Khula Munch via Araniko Highway to move to new Bus Park through Koteswor, Saatdobato and Kalanki, he informed. Likewise, the vehicles coming from Chawahil, Bouddha, Sankhu, Thankot, Kirtipur and Daxinkali among others are allowed to drop their passengers at the Ratna Park.
Similarly, the odd and even number system has been enforced for the vehicles being operated in the Valley so as to ensure smooth traffic management during the BIMSTEC Summit scheduled for August 30-31. The system will be put in place on August 29-31. As per the interim system, the registration plate of vehicles with odd number at the end will not be allowed to ply on August 29 and 31 while plates with even number at the end will be barred from operation on August 30, he added. The odd even system is applicable for all vehicles except those used in emergency such as ambulance, fire engine, hospital, press and vehicles carrying tourists. RSS
